Here at Vantage Toyota Wakefield we are proud to be patrons of The Prince’s Trust. Part of our commitment to raising money for this fantastic charity has led to us being part of their Million Makers scheme. A team from across the Vantage family have put their heads together in the last few months and put plans in to place to raise an ambitious £10,000 for the charity.
Earlier in the year ‘Team Vantage’ pitched their ideas in a Dragons Den style environment in order to gain the seed funding for their projects. Thankfully the team really impressed the Dragon’s which has meant full speed ahead for the teams plans.
One of the stipulations from The Trust is that they had to hold an event. We’re happy to say that this has been successfully achieved after we held a Halloween party back in October and also dedicated the funds raised from Christmas Jumper Day to the cause. We hope you enjoyed seeing our pictures from the events.
The team have been very busy in the background laying the groundwork for the next stage of their plans and we are very happy to be able to announce these to you now.
On the 7th of February a team of four from Vantage Toyota Wakefield will be taking part in the ‘Vantage Journey’ along with 18 other teams from across the Vantage group. The team will have 24 hours to complete the 570 miles necessary to complete the route between ourselves and all of our sister sites across the group.
We are looking for sponsors, particularly from businesses, who’d like to claim some sticker space on our car which will be taking the journey across Yorkshire, Lancashire and the Midlands. If your company would like to sponsor our car make sure you give us a ring and ask for our Million Makers champion, Jorja Lettice, who will be able to organise this for you.
There will be a few rules for the participants of the journey which we will release when we can but rest assured that this is not a race so speed limits and the rules of the road will be strictly adhered to. There will be prizes for the team who raises the most money for the charity and a prize for the team with the closest time to the time estimated by Team Vantage, which we won’t know until we’ve all completed the journey.
We hope you will all get behind Vantage Toyota Wakefield in our quest to raise the most money for The Prince’s Trust. There are a few ways you can do this:
